Real Club de Campo Malaga Golf Course

It is located about ten kilometers from the capital Málaga, near Torremolinos, in the heart of the Costa del Sol , very close the Airport and the mouth of the River Guadalhorce, a protected natural area, given the innumerable species of birds that live there Designed by Scottish architect Tom Simpson, famous for his golfing layouts at Tumberry and Muirfield, the Costas oldest course was opened by the Spanish Royal Family in 1925. The course is part links with seawater lagoons, and part parkland with the fairways forming avenues between the trees which are home to flocks of colorful parakeets.

The Parador Malaga de golf hosted the tourespaña Masters open de España in 1992 and 1999, which were won by Vijay Singh and Miguel Angel Jimenez. The course measures 6024 meters in length and is suitable for players of all levels of ability, though some holes present a real challenge. At the 12th, for example, a perfect drive is required in order to reach the green in two and avoid the eucalyptus grove on the right.

Torrequebrada Golf:

Torrequebrada Golf is a superb course located east of Benalmádena near Torremolinos at the Costa del Sol. Lying west of Benalmadena Costa about 2km inland, Torrequebrada is a 18hole, par 72 course designed by Malaga's favorite designer Pepe Gancedo and opened in 1976. Its beautiful design and layout earned it the honor of hosting the Spanish Open three years later as well as several other top championships in more recent years.

It is a very popular if somewhat technically challenging course with steep terrain, and sand and water hazards providing the player with many varied and interesting obstacles. Complimented by its magnificent views of the Mediterranean, this veritable oasis is home to over 100 species of native and tropical trees inhabited by a rich variety of bird life.

Each hole is hidden from the next by well manicured tree lined fairways. The tee shot is crucial here, the bunkers, roughs, woods and nine water hazards will leave you repentant of any wild shots! There are also 8 doglegs to be maneuvered, this is a short but demanding course for most players. A notable hole is the 11th, which is a 164m par 3. Players are faced with water in front of the green, bunkers surrounding it and having to navigate a split level green into the bargain.

The Clubhouse has changing rooms with showers, excellent restaurant, Pro Shop, paddle tennis and tennis, putting and chipping greens, a driving range nearby and tuition available. There is a casino close by at the Torrequebrada Hotel, only a short drive away, where you can enjoy a fabulous nights stage entertainment as well as trying your hand and luck at the tables.

Benalmádena Golf Course

Benalmadena golf course opened its doors to the public in 2006 and is one of the coasts finest 9 holes par 3 courses with a strong emphasis on golf classes for players of all ages and handicaps.

With a very family and friendly atmosphere, its aim is to make golf more accessible to the larger public and does it very well.

Apart from the par 3 course the complex has a large practice range for 48 people (it is flood lit and open to 11.00 pm most days), an extensive range of lessons and courses open to golfers of all standards, a bowls green, a great club house and a not to be missed restaurant Baboo" which offers fine Fusion cooking at very reasonable prices.

Añoreta Golf Course

Añoreta Golf, designed by Jose Maria Canizares and opened in 1990 was the first golf course with 18 holes built in the Axarquia. It's located at Rincon de la Victoria. It is a par 72, with a length of 6,016 meters for professionals and 5,833 meters for amateurs. With a varied and pleasing design, Añoreta Golf is a good challenge for all players, whatever their level, surrounded by trees and water that enhance its natural beauty.

Some holes are spectacular, the hole 7 with stunning sea views. Within the tour, the hole 17 is a par 3 surrounded by a large lake, which highlights a spectacular green. The 3rd and 8th are the most spectacular and difficult holes of all. Its long par makes it necessary to use strength, precision and patience.

Alhaurín Golf Course

Alhaurín Golf Course you can enjoy a spectacular golf course 18 holes par 72, designed by legendary Spanish player Severiano Ballesteros. Alhaurin Golf Complex is nestled on the south west side of the Mijas mountains and is arguably one of the most visibly spectacular course on the coast with fantastic views overlooking coast and mountains and wild countryside from all over the course.

The course fits perfectly into its natural surroundings, there are up to 6 different teeing areas at each hole and thus the course can be adapted to any level of difficulty. It is a course in which the player must think all the way, very hilly and picturesque with fantastic views over the coast. Alhaurin Golf is very challenging for beginners, however golfers come back year after year to challenge themselves against the mighty Alhaurin.

Alhaurin Golf Course also has top class facilities, including clubhouse, with a marked character of Andalusia, a unique practice course, golf academy for all ages and levels and an additional field 9 holes par 3, which is also on the Two4One golf card benefit list.

Miraflores Golf Course

The Miraflores Golf Course is located within lush countryside along the contours of the Sierra Mijas foothills. The well maintained fairways and greens are dotted with hazards such as lakes and trees which challenge the skills of beginner to seasoned golfers.

Designed by Falco Nardi and opened in 1990 this 18 holes course has been improved by raising tees and adding artificial lakes to make play more interesting. The club house boasts panoramic views and facilities such as buggies, trolleys, a floodlit driving range, a shop, restaurant and bar.
